Recruitment homeOur pre-development teams, led by Director of Development Ben Jobson, are responsible for identifying new land opportunities and designing development projects to deliver high-quality homes and communities across the South West.
Our Land and Design team is where the process begins. The team find and secure land where new homes could be built, checking if sites are suitable, affordable and likely to gain planning permission. The team work with landowners to agree deals and prepare applications to gain approval from the local council. They work with specialist consultants, councils and experts in a variety of fields to develop design concepts that set the shape of the whole scheme going forward whilst also speaking with local communities to address any concerns.
Our Technical and Engineering team oversee substructure, superstructure and infrastructure design. They prepare detailed technical drawings, manage utility and geotechnical reports, and drainage strategies and ensure designs meet planning and building regulations. They also resolve design challenges during construction. The team coordinate with local authorities, consultants and contractors to deliver safe, cost-effective and buildable developments. They play a key role in delivering our sustainability strategy and making sure our homes meet the needs of future residents.
Our Commercial team manage costs and budgets whilst monitoring financial risks to the business. They help with checking the viability of new developments by estimating how much a project will cost. The team are responsible for negotiating and procuring subcontractors and materials to complete the works required. Alongside the finance team, they forecast and manage the supply chain accounts to ensure payments are made on time and that spend is in line with forecast. The Commercial team report on the financial performance of each development to the wider business, highlighting any new risks or cost movements that have come to light.
Our Construction team, led by Director of Construction Yanni Sechatis, build our developments. They manage the day-to-day work from day one of breaking ground on new land right up until the final plot is completed and handed over to a customer. The team make sure our projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high quality. Working with local tradespeople, they turn our plans into finished quality homes for our customers.
Our Sales and Marketing team, led by Director of Sales and Marketing Hannah Newnes, guide potential buyers through the sales process from first hearing about a new development through to moving in. They promote our developments through our website, adverts, brochures and social media. The team make sure our homes are beautifully presented and that customers can find the right match on a development for their needs. They make sure the sales process is smooth, clear and straightforward for buyers.
Our Customer Service team ensure our customers receive the best experience following the purchase of their new home and look after our new owners after they move in. The team are on hand for two years after a customer moves in and coordinate with our internal teams and external subcontractors to deal with any problems or repairs promptly.
These teams are all expertly supported by our Administration team who keep us running smoothly by processing payments, completing paperwork and offering general administrative support. They are also the friendly faces who will first greet you when you visit our Head Office in Torquay.
